This construction, designed by Scott Tallon Walker Architects, is both a refurbishment of a 5-star hotel as well as its extension to accommodate for their expected increase in footfall. The project sits on the Old Head of the Kinsale peninsula and succeeds at providing visitors with superb views of the Irish coastline while also providing comfortable and luxurious accommodation.
Seeking to evoke a distinct and contemporary design, the materials chosen for the hotel were of Irish origin as the setting is of great natural and cultural importance. Connemara marble, Irish linen, and Donegal tweed were all used to achieve this goal.
